An Artist with a passion for many subjects, I decided to create a website to showcase my Artwork as well as follow my progress on the numerous subjects I'm interested in. It is my belief that there is an underlying unity to all knowledge and that my efforts in one of my passions will translate across the board to further progress in the other pursuits. There have been moments in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments where I was helped by my studies in Chess, and moments in Art when I was helped by my studies in languages... and so on.
AUCTION TO HELP FUND FURTHER ART PROJECTS
There are a number of larger scale projects in painting and sculpture that I plan on working on in the very near future, but to be able to undertake these projects I need to raise a certain amount of money. To this end I have decided to organize an auction of some of my original drawings, in various styles, starting at the very low bidding price of 20 dollars per drawing. If you make a bid of 20.00 on the drawing and no one else makes a competing bid, you will have obtained a one of a kind original drawing by myself for far less than it's worth. Shipping and handling will be added on a case by case basis with complete transparency. That is, I will look at your mailing address and get a quote from Canada Post, Fedex, or whomever you prefer to mail it and include that quote in the description of the item you've purchased. You will then be sent a bill via PayPal.
The auction will take place between Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012 and will end Tuesday, February 28th, 2012.
This will be a silent auction with updates provided on a daily basis from the facebook event page.
To place a bid you can either send an email to

or send me a private message to my facebook account with the NUMBER of the image (the number of the image is found on the bottom left hand corner of each drawing below) as well as how much you are bidding. If you wish to purchase the image outright without waiting for the auction to finish (to ensure that you get the drawing you want) you can choose the "Buy Now" option and pay 290.00 (shipping and handling included) outright and send me a message with the image number along with your shipping information.
So to summarize: If you wish to purchase one of the original drawings below - send me an email (

) or a facebook message with your bid along with the image number with a minimum starting point of 20 dollars. If you are outbid you will be sent an email informing you as such giving you the opportunity to decline to proceed further or compete for the image.
All images are on 18 x 24 inch paper except for drawings 9, 10, and 22. These drawings are on 14 x 17 inch paper.
If you don't wish to purchase a drawing but would still like to support my artistic explorations, you can simply donate whatever you wish by clicking the donate link below.

“A Thousand Lines a Thousand Drawings” (Update - to date 27 drawings have been created for this project... a humble start and only 973 to go!)
This art project that blossomed out of a recent discussion about calligraphy. It started out as a way of exploring the infinite varieties of expression that are possible even with a very strict set of rules. Each drawing will be one continuous line inspired by a random collection of words, a favourite quote, an expression, or a brief description of an idea.
For example; a person could provide me with the quote “Ignis Aurum Probat, Miseria Fortes Homines” or the words “Love, Hospital, Rock”. In each case I would create an exploration in line incorporating these stimulus words and send the drawing to that person.
Once all 1000 drawings are complete I will create a database for the images online that will be searchable based on a number of criteria. With each drawing supplied I would request some general demographic information from the new owner of the drawing (if they wish to provide it). Information like City where they live, Age, Sex, Occupation etc. Once the database is complete you could browse through all of the drawings, or you could enter criteria like “All drawings with the word “Love” in the description” or “All drawings that were inspired by words from females between the age of 25 and 30”.
There are also other potential uses of this data as it may be feasible to generate a personality test out of the information. For example; a person could be presented with 5 randomly chosen images which they would rank from 1 – 5 in order of preference. Have this repeated 10 times or so and then tabulate the results. They may find out they prefer drawings by young men with aggressive or ambitious themes... perhaps it will be purely random. Only time and experimentation will tell.
To get an idea what some of my continuous line drawings look like have a look at the gallery below - Most of these drawings are single line drawings, however there are one or two which may have an extra line or so. These drawings won't be part of the project itself, but they give you an idea as to what to expect stylistically:
For a look at my other styles of drawing and other explorations of the human form, have a gander at the gallery below:
I hope you enjoy your stay, and if you have any questions or would like to work with me on any future projects, please don't hesitate to contact me -
